It is a sign that a poem has succeeded, and is a good poem, when people discuss its meaning rather than the actual poem itself.

There are a lot of people who fear quiet and solitude. They are afraid to confront their own self.

'Distracted from distraction by distraction' is actually how they prefer to be. And without an enemy their lives lack all purpose. And yet their greatest enemy is actually that very lack of purpose. I.e. themselves. Where all peace and quiet finally dwells.

Inner jehad is the only jehad. This is where the poet ultimately triumphs.
